This is lovely, though it looks a bit grainy on the page. I love the reflection and the motion in the shot, and the fact that you can't see anything in the background. Great shot!

I love it when they seem to be saying \"hear me roar\"
nice capture and good reflections and misty surround 9

Going through the entries again and commenting and came upon yours again. Up the score from a \"7\" to a \"10\" .

Looking at the hazy background gives me the goosebumps. You know when you feel the cool, chilly air hit your skin. The \"graceful\" swan with the wings spread looks great. Beautiful reflection in the water. The duck also helps to add interest to the shot. Negative space is great and helps with the composition. Wonderful shot.

i rated this picture at 7, i like it a lot, even it's grayish, foggy quality… if only the duck wasn't there!

theme : 2/3
lighting: 2/3
overall quality: 1/4 *i don't like the way the subjects are positioned, I would like to see a contrast between the water and ground or sky. Colors could be a bit more vibrant

Very nice indeed. Is it a bit noisy or you intended the effect?

Great capture! If the duck hadn't been there, the shot might have been more pure, but I kinda like the humor of the businesslike, drab little duck next to the swan.

I would have been so frustrated with that duck swimming past at the crucial moment .... The picture is so much stronger with just the swan. For me it is not the reflection but the swan itself that makes the picture.

Excellent subject, definitely graceful! I am impressed with the negative space at the top, the placement of the swan and it's reflection. My only wish is that the duck wasn't in the image. Overall a very nice image. Have you tried converting this to B&W yet?

I like the misty grayness in the photo, but the way the swan has his wings spread reminds me more of rustling, chasing away an intruder, etc... The position doesn't really say "grace" to me.

IMO, swans can be more gracious. This one seems to try a take off with extra luggage, and the duck doesn't seem to care at all. Seems underexposed. A bit more contrast and brightness could help to bring more white tones on the swan. Cloning the duck and cropping out 1/3 on top and same on the left to bring the swan forward could also be a good idea.

to bad the head of the swan is facing away.

I would like this better if the little mallard duck had swum away just a little sooner so he wasn't in the shot. The swan is terrific and your ability to stop the action of his flapping wings is very well done. I love the placement within the frame so that you can see all of his reflection to the bottom and the gradation of dark to light as you look up. Beautiful shot.

I like the empty foggy space. Room to dream and to focus on the swan aerating her wings. Very graceful picture.
