Hi all,

Thanks for your comments. I did not have a lot of time to work on this concept, and I've seen that the flowers were kind of over washed. I tried to add some light on the flowers by using a mirror, but did not really work. anyway, I would be more than happy if someone could do this shot and succeed. For the trick (I used a flash light), go to the magic trick link. Please let me know if you try it!!

Magic trick

Thanks!!

Very interesting capture. The brightness behind the flowers is a bit distracting but it did allow you to achieve detail in the flowers.

this is a beautiful shot. Nice use of the sun as backlighting and also getting the exposure in fill flash(?) The flowers appear just a bit washed out in color and slight noise in the sky.

Interesting composition. The blueish/purple hue of the background helps to bring out the three flowers. The lighting in the background upon the top flower gives it a great halo that highlights the petal. "8"

Edit: Looked through all the entries and came back to yours . I think I'm going to up it to a "10" .

Interesting idea.

Would love to know how you get the halo effect. The de-saturated yellow of the Chrysanthamums just seems a little odd but otherwise very nicel seen.

I do not like lilac backround. If flowers was more yellow, I would like that more - 5

Well done composition. I think it could have used some fill flash or reflector to give the flowers more detail and light.

Your three yellow Moms are very elegant against the blue background. The halo adds a gracefull effect.

So graceful... Top 10 I say now. Might be top 3 but I haven't seen all the pictures yet. You've got my 10 anyway.
