The light seems really harsh, but I like the subject and the composition.

You are absolutely right! How can frogs not be graceful? Especially gussied up frogs like these! I love the idea, and the direction from which the light is coming is very nice. To get an image with perhaps more friendly light, take away the flash or the bright light you're using and experiment with sunlight on a bright day--but in the shade. I take mine in the shade of my front porch. This will give you nice light without the harsh shadows. Lively and fun shot!

Well focused but the shadow is a little distracting.

Cute little frogs, I think it would have been better if you had used some other light then flash and got rid of the shadows behind them too, Good luck :)

Nice detail. I feel though that the shadows are a bit distracting. Was this taken with flash? If so, I would suggest bringing in your own light source so you can manipulate it so that the shadow doesn't detract from the image quality.
