Definitely a very barren scene, a forest fire I assume. The photograph looks great and the tones are perfect for the photo. Well done!

Harsh environment indeed but not really an interesting shot. Nothing to really hold the viewers attention. I think your choice of border color is also a little distracting. I think a darker gray or pure black would have added more to the moodiness...

Great shot, love the difference of the colors in the sky. Also the green on toop of the hill really adds to the picture. Well done.

Is it burned? I think so, that's harsh. But, I was hoping for more photos that took advantage of the expert editing.

Challenge met, definitely a harsh environment.....I don't understand the deadly reference, hopefully after the challenge the description will help.

I like it, don´t really care for the frame but didn´t let that affect my vote. Only thing is I would have liked to see MORE, I have a feeling this shot needs to be printed out big for one to really appreciate it, seeing it in low resolution web size doesn´t flatter it. 7
