Yeah, this is kind of creepy. I shot this using a Canon 10D with a Canon 22-55mm zoom lens. I reversed a Canon 50mm 1.8 and put it up to the zoom lens on the camera. I had to hold the lens there since I don't have any reversal rings. That created the super macro effect. This lens set up makes the depth of focus is SO shallow that I could only get a small slice in focus through the iris. That's why a lot of the image is out of focus, and parts of it are in focus. I held the lens up to my eye with the lens resting on the bridge of my nose and proceeded to fire away at different distances.

I used a 500 watt shop light, which puts out a warm yellowish light and strangely, that yellowish light turned my slate blue eye green. Very strange.

Awesome shot! A little burry on one side but all in all not bad. I like the detail in the eye. Didn't realize the eye had that many lines through it.
