 The setup was quite simple...a candle was placed right behind the battery. The sparkling effect was obtained by sprinkling some coffee powder over the flame. The image was shot in RAW. Processing involved some minor tweaking of brightness, contrast, saturation levels, minor dodging and burning and cropping.

A difficult subject to execute I would bet. Would have liked to seen a bit more of the vertical extent of the flame.
