Yes, this is an actual Emmy (a regional one) that I'm proud to say belongs to me :). I have 6 that I've been lucky enough to have bestowed upon me over the 15 years I've served as Editor, DP & Producer on movies, television shows & commercials.

POST CHALLENGE:

One man's bokeh is another man's blurry...

The voters on this site remind me of the focus groups you have to deal with sometimes. A few of these comments are hilarious - the thought that I was supposed to somehow make the connection to me obvious seems asinine, IMHO. Would a snapshot of me posing with the statue have made a better image for some of you? A sign? Does it matter? How about YOU use some imagination... LOL...

Don't get me wrong - I know this wasn't a GREAT entry and I do sincerely appreciate the various 'insight' given here. Thanks!

This was the first time I ever asked for other people's advice when entering a challenge - I basically came up with 3 images & here are the 2 alternates:

This is awesome - the shallow DOF and the angle you chose are perfect!

The connection between the Emmy and your occupation isn't obvious to me. Does this mean that you are an actor? Do you craft the Emmy's? I might be just a little slow but I need a little help here.

there is too much out of focus with this photo.

So your occupation is in TV? Or you actually make the trophies? I like the shot though. Technically well executed. A touch soft on the focus, but the dazzling bokeh makes up for it.

I think more DOF might make this stronger, nice lighting.

I don't know what this means exactly, but looking at the image itself. The dof does not work for me. it seems really off and distracting.

nice frame. Loved the colors. found the bottom circle a little overpowering, would like to have the head on the 1/3 line intersection, also possiblywould have have figure looking right.

Some very cool DOF and bokeh you got here. Curious to know the story behind this photo. Nicely done!

kind of dificult to figure out (for me) what specific occupation this is about. Composition is nice. A bit too much blur in the foreground.

I like and dislike at the same time, I think the bottom bothers me a bit, still a 7 but I might bump it up later..
