 Family lore says grampa's sister tossed an apple core in the ground around 1906...1908. She died tragically in 1911. The tree offers the best apples for cooking and eating despite the "less than pretty" appearance of the fruit.

This is a very nicely composed shot, and the snow haze adds a dimension to the wintery look of the image. Nice story too.
