I hadn't thought about the title until sevil brought it up. For me, it means that all three "subjects" seem to be facing the same way: forward-left. The implication is that something is happening offstage.

But there is a wonderful sense of irony in this shot, I feel it far more likely that you simply caught a coincidence of looking. The point here is that nothing is happening at the far-left, just like nothing is happening here in the photo. It is a picture of nothing, a funny, engaging, self-deprecating picture of nothing.

(Sorry, but nothing is a hobby of mine.)

I guess I'll be different... what I like is the empty chair. For some reason, that draws my attention. Like something is missing to complete the scene. Of course, in reality, were someone in that seat, you'd not have this shot with it's delicate and tensioned balance.

I love fragments of human bodies in a picture, as vicious as it sounds, so this shot immediately caught my eye. It's sharp and contrasty, and the contrast and the fragments give this picture a playful energy. Love how the diagonal in the bottom right cuts away the corner. The triangle of the three animated subjects is a tried way of keeping the viewer's eye from exiting the frame. The phase of motion of the top left character implies motion, adding to the dynamic feel of the shot. The textures of the chairs and the fish net stockings (with the hole!) are yummy.

I am not sure I get the title: do you mean that the two people are the pigeon's audience? If yes, then I think that it would be better without this title, but I often miss the obvious.

My impression from the shot is definitely positive, it was worth seeing. It captures the street quite well. I'm not adding it to my favourites, but it's a good shot.

my first reaction is why you called this picture "the audience". it's not that clear to me who you wanted to refer to as the audience, but that doesn't bother me much somehow. adds to my curiosity of wondering who these people are. i like that this picture is teasing the viewer by hiding the identity of its subjects.
my favourite parts are the repetition of the shape of her shoe in the bird's shadow and the way she holds the ciggy in her hand.

Wonderful imagination at work here. The interaction between the elements have already been touched upon, but if you ask me, that man is about to do something impulsive, unexpected. The tension is palpable.

I love the implied shape of the triangle between the three subjects with the feet all pointing to the bird.

To me it feels like it's the feet that are watching and they point you to the bird, creates a nice little triangle of interest. Well spotted, man!
