8 - Oh, that's nice. Like to have seen some more height framewise - maybe. Just the few areas like bottom right and perhaps just behind the ear upper left cropped out 'somehow', may have made this even better in my opinion. Like the softness, but do wonder about more clarity/sharper in the eyes.
Great composition and DOF. The focus is ok, but not tack sharp. The shot looks just a tiny little bit flat, and I wonder if adjusting the black point would help add a little more contrast. Otherwise, adorable cat! I love the up close and personal feel.
