I have several shots like this in my portfolio, I figured I would reshoot for this challenge. It took me until 45 minutes before the deadline to even snap the pic...LOL Oh well. Had a hard time deciding which version I wanted to enter, color, b/w, or this one. I hope this does well as it is one of my favorite subjects :)

Nice posing of the hands, good composition. But I think that the overall desaturation choice doesn't help, how about trying selective desaturation on the green background, with the hands and dirt in stronger color?
