 I just about watched this fire start - when I came upon it, the fire had burned an area hardly the size of a backyard pool. Over the next half hour, I watched as it blazed many acres and darkened the sky.

there is something really fascinating and captivating about this photo... the earth "texture" maybe? I don't know, but I love it.

I love the ribbons of smoke. The texture with the darks and lights of the ground is reall interesting.
