Wow this fits the challenge on so many levels! Great capture. The lighting is a little harsh but I think it works for this sad image. Very nice focus, I like the depth of the image. Well done. 8

WOW! A GREAT take on the challenge. If this doesn't convey being alone nothing does. Very touching photo. I love it.

touching photo...wish the branches weren't obstructing so much, maybe if this shot were taken from a different angle..just my opinion though.

i feel the branches in the foreground distract from the rest of the image

GREAT! You would never have been able to pull this off without the inscription on the head stone! Good Job!

Hm, multiple meaning to your title isn't there? Good choice.

the stone, the grass and the leaves would make a strong image together, the branches got in the way unfortunately.

Good idea, wish the branch was not across the "N" and I think it would help if either the colors were brighter or gone.

Woah - okay, you could not have chosen a more apt subject. Good thinking

i'm glad you picked the unknown tombstone.. smart choice.. i wish the branches were a better contrast against the grass and leaves... this photograph would be infinitely more powerful if there were snow on the ground instead of the dark grass. very happy that you chose a non-personal subject.. i don't like people trying to pull my heartstrings submitting photos of their deceased loved one's stones- almost disrespectful if you ask me. thank you for making the smart choice. cheers. ;) 8
