This is placed too centrally. Most things in nature are off-set and so the human eye tends to prefer things not centrally placed. It would also show movement like the bird entering or leaving the field of vision. Hope that helps.

Brave choice for an entry. Looks like a brown boobie, but too far away to tell. For me it's 4, but bravery gets it a 5.

would have love to have had it a little closer. Thus getting rid of your void. But, I for one know how hard that can actually be. GL

This is too distant to be an animal lovers shot and too centered to be good for the artistic sake in my opinion. Using the rule of thirds to place the bird would certainly up this shot in my opinion.

Very interesting composition, the more I look the more I like it. The two diognal lines of the birds are perfect.
