This is such and interesting portrait. I am not particularly a fan of piercings but I have to admit I couldn't stop looking at her. Her expression is quite unique and you have captured it very well. You should have scored higher.

For the uninitiated I'd really like to academically list all the fine technical and photographic qualities about this image that makes it great... but it is just to good, I'm awestruck and I'd be writing all day.

Incredible photograph.

Likes: good focus on the eyes. The satin/silk headwear provides a good transition from the raw white background to the flesh tones of the face. The shadows on the face bring good depth to the skin and bone structure.

Dislikes: the expression seems vacant, I would have preferred to see more emotion, or makeup done to make the model look more porcelain or mannequin-like to match the vacant expression.

I think a softer focus on face would enhance this. Satin folds are lovely in ribbon.

This is a little bit scary. Maybe its the wide eyed look. The ribbon gives a nice light on white feel, but the face and eyes distract a bit. Contest aside, its a great shot!

Nice idea but the model looks a little too stern, great focus though

This would be SO awesome if it weren't for the piercings... not having them cloned out sort of spoils, for me, an otherwise brilliant characterization.

Good idea and use of props, but it doesn't quite work for me. The lighting seems a bit harsh, and has produced some shiny patches on the models chin and nose which are rather unflattering.

Technically, this is excellent. the light, the focus, but something is just "off" probably because of the white lips and that touch of black on her neck. It's white on light on white, right? ;~D Just not my cup of tea.
