wow - reflections all the way down the canal!

Basingstoke?! I'm going there for work next week - had no idea there were such pretty places to see there. This is therefore a postcard in the best sense. You've shown me something positive about a place in the world that I didn't think had so much to offer other than industry. The colors and the line leading to the canal are very nice. I am a bit distracted by the blown part of the boat to left, but not overly so. I also wish the sidewalk/grass on the right were either lighter or darker to add dynamic feeling, but in basic that would probably be impossible to do without making the rest of the image suffer. The leaves in the water are perfect, just perfect. Nice job!

I like the bright colors, but your highlights are a bit blown, and focus could be a little clearer. It looks like some selections problems in the post processing in the sky area where you tried to add some of the blue back to the sky. I hope you get advice on how to overcome this as I often have the same problem.

there is a lot of colour in this but I find it awful flat, the reflections are good in the canal but it takes away the look of the canal, this is only my opinion, good luck anyway.

Gorgeous shot! Too bad there isnt a more defined line at the reflection--it's hard to tell at a glance where the reflection begins, which makes it a bit distracting. If there was a breeze blowing to ripple the water just a bit, it would have helped. It's great, though!

Great idea. Nice scenary area. But the photo lacks sharpness.

hmm, where is this? I spent my formative years on a boat on this very waterway.

I don't care for the mustard border, but I like the rest.

I find this shot confusing. it seems to be too flat, without any definition between water, land, and boats. Sorry, I'm not sure how to improve that, but the location is definitely postcard-worthy.

nice work, colors are nice but the photo lacks overall sharpness , the composition is okay

Seems over exposed. Almost as if there is a film over the lens. Nice colors otherwise.
