 A closeup look at a 'rope light - one of those things you can make all sorts of shapes and pattern with, but in the end the best shot I got was this closeup.

I don't think it's strictly what the challenge was asking, but the blue glow, the shadows and reflections, make it worty of entry anyway :-)

Nice effect, though could use more DOF I think - I'd like to see the foreground sharp with the focus dropping off to the rear.

Composition is really strong for me - I like the curved diagonal and the way it completely slices up the frame. I love the dark upper right corner. Although I like how the light spills out into the lower left area, I'd prefer the very lower left corner to be a richer black, to balance the top right corner. I like low DOF but feel it could have a touch more DOF in this case or possibly the same low DOF but the point of focus to be a touch further back along the tube.

fantastic abstract photo. Excellent composition and colour. Can't really think of any way to improve upon this. Possibly slightly increase the DOF, but that's just a suggestion. 10

Hm.. an interesting image. I can't tell what it is, but I like the color. The white is a little glaring, but not so much that it kills the shot. As a personal preference I would've liked a larger field of focus. Other than that, a nice unique use of light and shot altogether. 7
