 My city, one of my favorite subjects, again.

The sky was grey and the shot originally wasn't that good... thought of turning into sepia to see what it looked like and it felt to me like an old postcard. So there it is...

Crop, levels. In the GIMP: old photo filter, usm, slight curves adjustment, then cropped out the (possibly) offending border. Added text. Resized, added (legal) border, sharpen.

The photo is very grainy and I'm not sure I like the sepia tone either - the photo needs to be brighter, but it looks like the weather was not cooperating.

I really love the tint and "old days" feeling about this - and the font you chose for the text is just perfect and adds an xtra point from me.

Nostalgico, a fazer-me recordar excelentes momentos passados nessa bela cidade. A simulação de um postal antigo é perfeita, não só pela escolha do tom mas principalmente por todos os elementos que contribuem para a composição. Fico de dedos cruzados na esperança de que os outros votantes captem a beleza deste postal. Nota máxima!

Most of the time the historical ype photos don't work for me...but this one really does. The text fits well, and the image isn't overdone.
