Great stop action. I love the composition and almost high key of the water and sand, yet with the darker figure for emphasis.

Nice! Pretty cool photo. I'm wondering if this would gain more of that "pop out there" factor if you used a gradient. I use a pretty cool method in PS, that goes a little something like this.

Magic wand (tolerance 1),>quick mask mode>gradient (from top to bottom or vice versa)>exit quick mask, for standard view>Adjustments>curves. I don't know if this will be helpful, but its my laim attempt at helping.
