 I am not sure what inspired me on this one. I saw a picture in the last few days where they had spots generated by light. Likely I am not the only one to go with this idea but I'm hoping that this submission is unique and interesting.

Setup was simple. A tealight provided light under the collander which I placed on the stove in my kitchen. Post work was a bit of sharpening and then a crop and resize.

An interesting idea, but I think too much detail may be revealed behind colander on right.

Thats kinda cool. I like the concept but I think the image is missing a point of interest or a wow factor. May if you had some water on the inside of the colander so steam was coming from the holes you could have had a really impressive shot.

Creative idea, but either too dark or not dark enough. We see things in the side and background and our eye stops to try to figure out what they are. This, IMO, detracts from the point of your picture, to see the neatly lit spots. The biggest example is the pepper shaker in the background. That should have been removed. 5
