No croppin', no color correction besides autolevel, hardly any sharpen, why's it gotta be a cat? Really I'm not a cat lover...

(crossin' fingers, closin' eyes, wonderin' why my best lightin' pic had to be a cat, pushin' submit!)

A good macro image, but I can't see much of the light. Most of the image is 'shaded' and your title lends itself to the cat laying in the sun. I think I'd like to see more of that in the image. I like how the whiskers seem to glow...

Fantastic closeup, and the lighting really brings out the detail.

I bet this one is a cutie. I like the concept behind the image, but I think the close crop erases much of what is being described by the title and that lowers the interest factor for me. I'd like to see more of the cat's body and thus more of the rays its copping. Focus is marvelous. I'm flipflopping on whether the light in the eyes is good or bad, it gives a bit of spark but it also looks a little odd to me. I think the subject works for the challenge and light usage is good. 6

Amazing close up of a cat - beautifully detailed and the highlight gives the challenge.

Hope you gave him/her a treat for being such a good subject!

This is outstanding, I am impressed with the way you captured the sun on the right side of the cats face, and even more impressed at the fact that you must be really fast to have captured this without the cat jumping up and ruining the shot ha ha..great job!
