Picture of the kids taken in the studio. First entry in a long time. So the Update button addiction will get me again.

* Background blurred (inadvertantly left the camera on ISO 400 and ended up with using f18)
* Spot edit of kids faces
* Very slight levels adjustment
* Dodge & Burn using a softlight layer
* Hue/Saturation layer to tweak colours before BW conversion
* Black / White conversion using gradient map

The highlights on faces (especially boy) look a little blown. I do like the expressions.

this shot has great potential good framing, focus,a nice capture of expression. The down side is the light on the boys face is reflecting off the ear drawing the viewers attention and dominating the shot.

An interesting capture pose for a brother and sister. Good tones. Looks like you might have done some softening of the background with some bleeding along the brother's ear.

I like the way you have these two posed and the subtle background that doesn't distract from the subjects at all. Nice sublte highlights add to the feel of the picture, I am sure they will enjoy this photo in years to come. Very natural looking portrait. 9
