On this envelope received from the UK, the postal stamp accidentally placed over the Queen Mother's face made her look like Zorro or Robin Hood.

I suppose even the Queen Mother had her dark side:)

I thought this was very funny and I feel it meets the challenge as well. I hope you feel the same! Cheers!

Deserving of better marks there. It's gut wrenchingly funny!

Borders are important and help make a point or focus on the subject better. If they do not like it, thats their problem.

Also, the crop might have been less close, I had preferred to see the hole stamp (why not make it a portrait format with a decent angle of the subject).

I have a larger view, of course, just felt this crop matched the challenge better, since one could see the crown and the subject better. The subject was not the stamp, but the queen. Thanks for taking a look!

Funny, but u could have put it on a scanner instead of taking a photo. That may be the reason u got a lot of low votes. Other reasons may be the excessive border (though it matches the stamps border, lot of voter don't like any borders). Also, the crop might have been less close, I had preferred to see the hole stamp (why not make it a portrait format with a decent angle of the subject).

Hmm, thanks for the votes, especially to that good soul who found it funny enough to give it a ten. This was more a conceptual shot, I do not think it had to be a hat in there by all costs to make it a good shot. I am a bit dissapointed with the result, but what can I do... It seems like I will never get a ribbon here, judging by the way most of ppl see photography around here. At least now i know not to hope for anything, just take it as it is.

And one more thing, why give some1 1?? I never give a vote less than 5, I only score the shots i like, but never less than 5. I guess I will have to work on that and stop being a good boy:)

I can sort of see the crown, but this seems more about the stamp than the headgear.
