Well done overall. Light is interesting. I agree with Nixter about a different crop or composition, perhaps composed with you more to the right of the frame. Personally I also feel there's a bit of a cramped feeling at the bottom - would have liked to see more shoulders and neck. And definitely play with those curves in PS if you are able, and think about strong contrasts and b/w to take full advantage of dramatic light like this. But I don't know what you wanted, so in terms of light and so on alone, this is good.

I like how you did the 3/4 profile with half of your face in shadow.

I think a slight crop, levels & curves adjustment would really make this one stand out. You have great eyes... I like the refraction of the light in your right eye. But, I think putting more emphasis on the light side of your face would work.

Hahaha... just as I was about to submit this, I noticed the crop that nixter has done... yep... that's kinda what I was looking for actually. But, I think a full black & white with channel mixer would be more apropriate... or leave it in color.

Mike I started to leave a comment but thought I could explain better by showing you instead. I hope you don't mind. :)

Sometimes with self portraits, I've discovered, it can be a little hard to get the composition right, so some cropping can help.
While it was in PS I thought why not take advatage of those great shadows and made them even darker! : )

I like the sharpness of your eyes. Piercing. Striking.

So, that looks like natural lighting. Are you outside? If so, what is the background?

You look a tad distant here. Wishthere were a touch more fill light on the left side of your face. Your ear is showing up better, lol. Lighting is a bit harsh? I do like the shot! Your one good eye is beautiful!! :P To handsome to hide!
