Cinema verité/introspection with the shadow adding to the feeling of looking "inside" oneself. I like the strong diagonal of the shadow's edge continuing with the shoulder's line.

Have to disagree with the complains about the focus. For me, it conveys the thoughts "you, just leave me alone with that camera of yours" which is very close to my thoughts when have to do self-portraits. The expression on the face reflects just the same. All other told before on the lighting and composition, well done!

Excellent lighting, love the black and white divided by the face. It has great emotion without making eye contact, a hard thing to achieve. I wish the focus was more on the face but it also works well the way it is.

Nice capture of facial expression, nice minimalistic use of detail: the face is drawn with simple shapes of black on white.. I think the excessive horizontality isn't helping you, it just draws attention to itself. I would try reducing it to cinema proportions. I don't mind the focus on the wall except that the texture isn't interesting enough. Perhaps if you cropped the left side you would fix both of my problems.

great composition and lighting. I'm not sure I like how the focus is on the wall instead of the face but it does add a nice mystery to it.
