Very last minute entry. Decided to shoot it at 11:15 pm Tuesday.

Not much to say. I'll probably get blasted for it.

Shoot about 10 shots at various speeds. Decided to use one shot at ISO 800 in order to freeze the steam. Levels, convert to BW. Neatimage to clean up the noise. Back to PS for some USM and Gaussian blur. Final level adjustments and save for web.

I don't know. I like it. Maybe somebody else will too.

Nice work capturing the steam. Maybe choose a slighly lower angle to get more of the steam just out of the spout (where there is a light brackground)?

Nice. The b/w work on the tea kettle is beautiful. ~7
BTW, out of curiosity, are you left-handed? I am right-handed and I would never put a tea kettle on the stove facing right - I would get burned picking it up.

Great black and white shot. 8.

A nice idea: the steam looks like it is almost in motion. I like the composition. The choice of colours works very well with the kettle. Unfortunately the background is distracting. I think it would have been better to get rid of it; it would give the photo much more appeal.

Great capture of the steam and I like the almost (?) soft-focus aspect.

I woulda put a black cloth over those stove controls in the background, I like the teapot by itself against a dark background better. Actually it wouldn't have to sit on the stove at all for this photo.

I like it alot. I think I might like a different angle a little better ... one that didn't include the knobs. <9>

Very good B&W. Great capture of steam rising from the kettle. Lighting is done well. This is a very cleanly done image.

I like it! Really nice composition.

I like this shot. Usually not a big fan of soft focus but it works here. My only nitpic is the handle gets lost with the BG but still very nice.

Good soft light on the subject. I also like the composition.

Gorgeous teapot you have here. Good capture of that steam, too. Great choice of b&w. This is one of my top pics.

great job of elevating the mundane into something interesting. Your lighting is terrific and rhe steam is captured in a very visible interesting way. The softer focus works well here, making harsh metallic sufraces look not so cold and sterile.

Improve the sharpness. The background does not help

Like the flare on the kettle and the steam in the air.

Pretty focus, light and tones here. Very interesting shot and I love looking at this..it's got a great feeling. A few minor flaws, but this is good for the challenge. Well done.
