All very good comments. I blew this one, twice - I noticed the scene as we were getting ready to leave my in-laws' home. Quickly set up the tripod, metered it, and pushed the button on the electronic remote release. Prior to taking the pic, I made only a small adjustment to the scene, moving an item from between the candle and the fire screen. Didn't even notice the label on the jar until I checked the photo on the computer. Blowing it a second time, I hurried it, doing minimal post processing sitting in a chair in their living room and then uploaded it to DPC.

Afterwards, too late for the challenge, I improved it and posted it to my portfolio. See it here: //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=424147

Lovely composition and colors. Slightly marred (IMO) by the lettering on the glass candleholder. Advanced editing would let you take that out...
Nevertheless, a wonderful image.

You have really handled the light well here. I just wish you could have gotten rid of the text and tag on the candle jar.
