The bitemark would be facing the mirror, not the camera, and so would not necessarily be visible. To me, whether or not this was actually a mirror was irrelevant. The appleskin is a reflective surface so it was not DNMC. I actually gave it a higher score because of the transgressive nature of the picture.

Just as I thought, A bunch of blind eyes clicking through photos never looking for details . Like obvious things such as a big bite out of the apple.. Or the green leaf that exist in the reflection but not in the foreground.

Come on voters.. Put away your DNMC For Dummies manual and look at the photos for awhile. You might be surprised at what you see if you just opened up your minds.

In looking at my disappointing scores for the recent challenge (Reflection Without Mirrors), it makes me wonder if people really looked at my photograph at all. Clearly I could not have used a mirror in my photograph. One apple has a huge bite out of it while the other one does not. I received many DNMC's. This experience has had the positive effect of motiviating me to be a better reviewer- taking time to actually study a picture before I assign a score. But I wonder if other members have had the same frustrating experience.

"Without" mirrors....

Uh, isn't that a mirror?

let's see, you put a mirror in the shot and your non-mirror reflections are tiny and subtle. You get my "non-DPC 7".

Hmmm, I guess you already know that this lookslike a mirror. DNMC IMO.
Nice idea, tho and a good photo.

Clever idea and nice job making the frame look like a mirror. Has anyone given you a DNMC yet? I am sure a few will say, No Mirrors etc.. Hopefully the majority will see it correctly. Good Luck with this.

DNMC. Certainly looks like a mirror is used in this shot. Nice image though.

From the challenge description: Creatively photograph a reflecting surface that is not a mirror while keeping your camera out of the shot

This looks alot like a mirror, and could easily be mistaken...

I retract my last comment, after speaking with the photographer, I must say I was fooled into thinking it was a mirror. Good show!

previously scored at 1
changed it for an 8 with my apolagies.
