Spicy Pumpkin Bread

3 c sugar
1 c cooking oil
4 eggs
½ t baking powder
2 t salt
1 t ground cloves
1 t cinnamon
1 t allspice
2 t baking soda
3 ½ c flour
2 c pumpkin (1 large can)
1/3 c water

Combine ingredients in the order given; mix well after
each addition. Place in 3 greased and floured
medium-sized loaf pans (or 6 small ones). Bake in 350
degrees oven for 50 minutes.

Garnish: Powdered sugar.

Fluffy Lemon Cup

12 oz evaporated milk (1 can)
3 oz lemon gelatin (small box)
1 c sugar
1 ¾ c boiling water
¼ c lemon juice
¾ c whipped topping

Chill can of milk and mixer beaters in the
refrigerator for 1 ½ hours. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve gelatin and sugar in boiling water. Stir in lemon juice. Refrigerate for 1 ½ hours as well until syrupy.

Beat gelatin mixture until tiny bubbles form. In a separate bowl, beat chilled milk until soft peaks form. Fold in gelatin mixture. Pour into 10 or 12 serving dishes and refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight. Add a dollop of whipped topping to each before serving.

Garnish: lemon peel, mint or berries.

Looks very tasty and very visually appealing. The image is very clear, the detail on the leaves really stand out. The lighting on the lemon cup is also good. The background fabric is a good choice, it offers a nice range of colors without being over the top or too distracting. I've seen this use of dof in many cookery books, and I think it works well, however, initially my eyes didnt seem to like the dof on the upper crust of the first bread slice. Very well presented.

Yummmmmmmy! Gimme! ;) This is a good overall shot, the round cup, the square plate the lighting is well done. The table cloth is a bit distracting but not too much. An 8 to start but I'll be back.

The upper left angle is a bit dark for me, but the shot in general looks very professional... good luck

Good setup. This looks very nice. I do wish the bread were a little more in focus. The cup and contents have good focus, though.

More depth-of-field to keep the Spicy Pumpkin Bread in focus throughout the composition would have improved this shot in my opinion. And perhaps a spoon on the left side of the Fluffy Lemon Cup? Looks yummy for sure!

I love the colors in this shot, but the bottom-left black area is distracting. And a little more DOF would have been better so that the entire dish and bread (both pieces) are in perfect focus.

I would have liked to see tighter focus on the 'bread', so only a 9. Very nice otherwise

Yum! Great color, the lighting is good too. I like the fact that the lemon cup is mostly in focus, but as a personal preference since the bread is an important aspect, I would've liked the bread to be sharper as well - the focus over there seems to be on the powdered sugar bits on the table 6

Focus is a little soft on the bread...otherwise very nice!

Great depth of field. The green glass really adds a great touch of color to the shot and helps the main subject pop out of the shot. I like how you were able to capture the shadows of the cream , gives it fluffiness. I also like how you sprinkled the powder sugar(?) in on the plate .
