Awesome pic, didn't have a chance to vote but it's definitely worth more than what some people voted (6 x 1's? What's wrong with people). Somehow none of those low-vote clowns had anything to comment on either. Keep up the good work.

Hey Kyle
It's uncle Jeff. How are you doing? Your dad said you had entered a picture and asked me to vote. I remember voting on your picture and thought it was very good. When I voted, I didn't know it was yours. I only gave a few nines out and thats what I gave yours. I believe I commented on it also. I'm surprised that anyone would give it a 1, 2, or 3. Its way better then that. I wonder if some people vote low on all the pictures they think might give thiers competition...Anyways, great job and keep at it. You are on the right track.
I plan on entering a few challenges. I'm having trouble getting my pictures down to 150 kb. They get blurry. I'll let you and your dad know when I get one entered.
Stay in touch
Jeff

I didn't manage to vote on this, but I can say that you've been robbed in my view. I'm no fan of digital art at DPC but you've given this some thought and produced something that makes use of the landscape format and has some emotive quality. I like your scene (if a little skewed on the horizon) and the essence of the look. For me it beats all the portrait-in-portrait-tradition-but-in-a-landscape-frame shots currently occupying the higher stratas.

whoa... this looks like an illustration for Reader's Digest. The article would be called "Why I Didn't Jump That Night". I'll start this at 8... bump to 9

I think this is an amazing photograph well edited but I dont think it is technically in the spirit of a portrait

Very cool...horizon not level (on purpose I'm sure) and I hope others realize that too.

Absolutely I love this shot. The title simply adds to the story of the picture.

great idea, really interesting shot and very well done. I don't really consider this to be a portrait however. (and your horizon needs sdjustment)

I forgot what the challenge was when I looked at this! Wild effects :) Could use a rotate, no? Great pic anyway

Back to comment: I've decided to give this one a bump for your out of the box thinking. I'm not a big fan of lens flare but the creative thinking on your part deserves at least a 7.

I must say this is the only truly unique photo I've seen out of all the entries and it is the only photo I've given a 10.

Great use of long exposure. I like it alot. More than the typical studio or outside shot. Nicely done.
