Challenge: Landscape in Portrait Orientation (Advanced Editing IV*)
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
Location: Helsingborg
Date: Oct 29, 2006
Aperture: 5.6
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/1600

Justed had some fun trying out advanced editing. All the storm feeling comes from a lot of playing around with contrast, kurves saturation and the "painting" the whole picture with dodge, burn and saturation. To get that oil painting look-a-like. Dont expect this to go so well as I started with a rather dull image that just was the only one that fitted the challenge. This is NOT a HDR picture but a test of how to get that look with "normal" photoshop work.

Slightly under exposed. But quite a "live" photo.

The tinge of sunset in the background really lifts this pic....sombre and evocative..8

Very interesting shot. I like the way the posts seem to be pointing to the very dramatic sky.

Very moody, nice lighting and color, and nice use of the portrait orientation.
