Certainly interesting and original! I would guess that you must have used a pretty strong ND grad filter to be able to expose for the trees, but I am confused by the blocky jaggedness of the outline of the nearest trunks.

I was trying to do something like this. Yours is much better and accomplishes the mist effect with preserving details. excellent lighting.-8-

Lovely atmospherics. The use of the skew tool in PS to straighten out the receding verticals of the leftmost trees would have helped this quite a bit IMO.
