Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Portrait in Landscape Orientation (Advanced Editing IV*)
Camera: Nikon D200
Lens: Nikon MF 105mm f/2.5 AIS
Location: Snohomish WA, farm house location.
Date: Oct 29, 2006
Aperture: 2.8
ISO: 220
Shutter: 1/125
Date Uploaded: Oct 29, 2006

Idea was to convey a reason to have a landscape format, and figured a "job" activity was needed. I liked this innocent rider on an old John Deere Tractor would work.

Late afternoon, overcast skies, shot facing sunward though sun was behind clouds.

Probably needs a slightly tighter crop.

You've captured something wonderful here. The stillness of the scene, the child's expression.

My god...! Where do you live? He looks far to young to be behind the wheel...! Nice photo. };>)

I like the vivid colors and the shallow DOF. I wish he was looking towards the steering wheel.

Rather small, but the landscape orientation definitely adds to the story of this portrait. I like the distinctive yellow rain boot!

A really good idea for a portrait, but it is a bit of a shame that the little one looks rather uncomfortable, and looking behind him as though to look for reassurance from someone just off shot. Nonetheless, a nice scene.
