 This was taken on an early morning ride to the top of Clingmans Dome near Gatlinburg, TN. I noticed the clouds sweeping up and over the mountain as I was driving. I pulled off the road and went for a short hike. When I came back, I saw this awesome sunrise beaming through the trees and being picked up by the clouds. I tried to get an angle that showed the sun streaking through the trees and ligthing the beautiful tree in the foreground.

Processing: Levels, contrast, slight saturation, sharpen, save for web.

Nice detail with this. You light on the left helps to define, outline and intensify your subject on the right side. Nicely captured.

This photo really shows off the rays of light, especially as they play through the trees. But we lose some of the detail in the rest of the photo. I think I might prefer just a touch less bright.

great colours and sun rays here, but the light source just feels overly bright, making some areas of the image seem very dark in contrast.
