Ah, this is my favourite of the five you posted today. I like the composition very much, and I also like the almost monochromatic approach. What I'm not so sure about is the focus. It's very narrow, and that's perfectly fine, but it seems to me (and maybe that's just personal preference), than the focus should be right where the wool (or thread) goes through the eye of the needle, since that seems to be the idea of the image - right now it is right in front of the eye, where the wool is hanging down. Just something to try. I'm also wondering, if you could get the area where the wool goes through the eye just a bit more to the right (at close to 1/3 from the right hand side margin), and get the top of the needle to more or less point straight at the top right corner - hmmmm. Long comment. Better quit. |
