Post note:
This DQ was a blessing in disquise. I sent the original and was told it was not the original. Long story short, I learned with my husband's help in sleuting out the reason my original did not show proof, the image was CORRUPTED because of rotating the origianl in ADOBE ALBUM STARTER & VIEWER. I was unaware this occured and will not do it again. Newbie mistake. Hence, this is a great leanrning site.
The processing involved ,
IN CAMERA - HIGH ISO, SHUTTER, W/TELEPHOTO LENSE. CREATED A LOT OF OVER EXPOSURE. Overcast day as well.
POST- CLONED PART OF THE OVER EXPOSED AREA TO WASH OUT THE MIDDLE LEFT WHICH HAD A BIT OF A HILL SIDE AND A PARTIAL DECK & LAMPPOST OF A BUILDING AND A WOOD FENCE IN THE LOWER RIGHT. The rest of the white out is snow.
( I suspect that the overexposed area washed out then cloned into another area is the reason the DQ request was posted.) I wish somebody, whoever might be reading this could advise.
POST CONT- TINT, AUTO FIX CONTTRACST/BRIGHT. EDGE WITH 2 BORDERS.
CLONE WASHED OUT

How did you create that ragged edge? It's a terrific effect. |

I love the artistic treatment of this image! Perfectly 19th century! Well, almost perfect...wondering why you chose not to carry the edge effect onto the right side of the frame... Nonetheless one of my highest votes goes to you. |

Great job on the old-time look. I like what you did with the background. 7 |
