My husband was trying to hold our dog for a lighting challenge, but he didn't realize that it was his image that I was taking, so he appeared guileless in the shots...also, he had an appealing intensity of expression...levels, curves, greyscale conversion using channels, usm, sharpen edges, crop...this was lit from above to achieve the intense contrast.
