It was sunny on one side of the sky (West), but there were these ominous, dark clouds in the East. They (the ominous clouds) disappeared about 1/2 hours after this picture.

This is one of 4 blue glass office buildings in Gloucester (Ottawa).

that's beautiful! very post-modern too, that building masking itself by mirroring it's natural surroundings. very cool! especially when the real sky surrounding it does not reflect the reflected sky within. really good! well done.

Clear, surreal image. The dark background sky against the bright reflection in a man-made structure is slightly haunting. Not sure what, if anything, you are trying to convey, though, if not just displaying a cool-looking image. (Reminds me of Microsoft for some reason.)

The dramatic contrast between the reflected and background sky would be enhanced if a little more background was showing. But this is a very striking image.

This is an amazing photo, the grey background contrasts beautifully with the blue in the reflections! Nice composition.

Chop down that sign or tower seen in the reflection next time ;-)
My top pick!

Wow, this almost looks unrealistic as the sky in the reflection doesn't match the sky around the building. The whites are blown out and the darks lost detail. Maybe too much contrast adjustment? Otherwise not bad image, interesting to look at.

This originally score very low with me after just glancing and going with gut instinct. Upon a second look, a closer look I tried to figure out what it was that made me start so low. Then I realized that it was the disjointed reflections that threw me for a loop. But now that I've taken time to really look at it, I like the effect. Was that storm coming or going?

I think i fyou had panned more to the right and gotten more of the other building being reflected on the right into the shot I would have felt it really met the challange more, don't know why, just get that feeling.

Great shot upon a second look, score is going way up on this one for me.

What a vivid reflection, compared to the gloomy sky behind the building. Did you have to max out any of your settings to acheive this or is this the way it looked at the time?

This image looks really cool. I like it alot. The diference in the sky from one direction to the other creates great contrast for the image.

This is good! The contrast of the stormy clouds in the background to the whiter clouds in the reflection was a good capture - 9.

the sky reflected in the building is a completely different sky from the sky around the building. not sure how this would be possible in one shot without a mask or other editing. it's very striking though. looking forward to seeing how it was done within the rules.
