 100% crop. Taken at first hole of a golf-course beneath my way to work. Took 5 minutes to get the perfect shot and 5 hours of post-processing. Mounted two different RAW-conversions of the same shot in PS (one for the sky and trees, one for the lawn) and played around with the eraser. Then played around with hue, sat and contrast sliders for a while. Experimented with gradients. Used dodge and burn tools to the excess. Used protocol brush several times. Finished with three different versions, of which this was the best.

Thanks for your nice comments and a high placing. Yes, I love the long shadow of the tree, too.

What the heck is a protocol brush and what does it do? This very much makes me want to go play golf, by the way; mornings are the very best time, when the sun is just making an appearance, the ground is still damp, it's quiet and still, and there are dew trails on the greens from the putts.

Perfectly titled. Absolutely beautiful...are you sure this is Earth? The light and shadows on the hills offer cool dimension. I like the little pinstripe on the border...almost looks like light is spilling from the pic onto it. Back to bump you up to 9.

I love this photo, there is so much texture in the grass and trees. The shadows are amazing! Great photo!!!
