good macro, though the thing in the middle (what the heck is that :P) seems a little fuzzy.

A bit more focus, and a little bit less noise reduction/softness, and this would be a totally cool shot. The colors contrast nicely, and the idea is really neat.

Too much sharpening, I think, although it does add some interesting contrast to the textures. I like the shallow DOF.
