This is the picture that I was so very, very tempted to "illegally" edit using perspective correction. I didn't. So, if anyone asks for a DQ, I'm going to LAUGH!!! (or cry, or go eat some chocolate, whatever).

I once had a huge appreciation for very pure staurated colours, like the blue in this photo, Ursula; but i've kind of given myself an ongoing task to investigate duotone/b&w photography, and so my mind is perhaps more focussed on contrat and formmal content than is reasonable to jusge a photo. All of which is mentioned because I think this would have made a wonderful black and white image: a marvellous range and variety of contrast, from the immediate black vs. white of moments in the statue, to the gentle graduation of the reflected sky and the clouds.

I like the parallel of the blown-out steel in bot the window frames and the statue, and the contrat of the fluid shapes of the art and the rigid regulated structure of the window franes. I'm kind of surprised to see it score so low ... though i think I have an idea why.

The reflected building: especially ggiven tha challenge topic. If the were no reflected structure, i think it would hav score considerably higher - I think that building adds an element of everyday reality that takes away from any feeling of the unusual, the non-humdrum, that's hurt this image in terms of the challenge. Likewise if you'd included more of that building, the efffect would have been different - some kind of comment on office life, or city life, set against the evident freedom of that sculpture. With just the qurter-view of it present, I think the pic falls between two stools a little, and I think that hurt your score.

Still, an intersting image, and a pleasure to think and to write about for fifteen minutes.

That's an impressive sculpture. Love the background and the mixture of light.

the surreal quality of this is interesting but I am not sure that the warped building reflection works for me (personal response) 7

I have come back to this image a couple of different times trying to find the words to express what I feel and see. The sculpture is unique. I like the swirl of clouds reflecting of the building in the background as well. I just can not get the dream part...The title tells me "wizard of Oz" but the image fails to do the same. I would like to here from you in what you were trying to convey:) good luck 5

This shot has real artistic appeal, the sculpture is great and the blue sky. What really works IMO is that the metal of sculptue is carried thru by the bars holding in the glass. I think the building is a bit distracting on the left. And I would like to see it shot when light is not sso bright. Good subject worth a revisit I think.

The brightness of this shot really threw me at first. The sun reflecting off the sculpture be a bit blinding. The title made me think and look at it a couple of times and I'm still a little lost but sadly that is nothing new :) The reflection of the building on the left is distracting and if you could have come at a slightly different angle to get just the sculpture and the reflection of the sky on the building behind it I would have scored much higher on this one. Also, just a bit of soft focus to inspire a dream, just a bit to sharp for me ;)

I love it! Very dreamy without all the filter effect junk people seem to love doing!!

Bright spots are a bit bright, but super idea and execution. Composition and background work together very well.

Interesting interaction of sculpture, distortion in the window and sky. Nice shot.

I don't know where you took this, but that building in the background is GREAT for reflections!!!

Beautiful colors and great focus. It really doesn't say "dreams or nightmares" to me, but I could be missing something, I suppose. 6

I like the curves and angles of this photo, very geometrical, makes for an interesting photo. The color and lighting is exceptional. Very sharp and clear. Good job!

Very nice picture but I would have saved it for the urban challenge. Unless, of course, you have something even better waiting for that. In which case, I can't wait to see it.
