Now, this was a fun image to make. First we need an old shirt because we want to cut it in the back inorder to get the hands through the sleeves. We then take pins and secure shirt and vest to a screen which the cats have rendered useless at bottom with tears and hairs. We make two cuts here and then I go behind screen and put hands through muslin screen and shirt. I did a few takes alone but I needed my wife to snap the final to get good alignment and positioning.

Well, she freaked out when I put my hands through, so much so that she asked me to look at her do it. She gets behind and puts hands through and yes, it looked real spooky. Like a transformation as the dangling sleeves take life.

The lighting is frontal side lighting with enough back lighting to bring out the silhouette. The great fun is my reward here.

Thanks Dan, It's amazing you did it the old fashioned way. I was sure you'd done like a double exposure type of shot. Your execution is spot on, congrats to you and your wife.
