This picture was taken of a grasshopper who lives in the Hisbiscus plant in the garden of the swimming pool. I used the black felt as the background and gently held up the rubber duckie to the grasshopper. I had to be quick to take the shot because the grasshopper didn't really like the black felt background, but he was very curious about the rubber duckie as you can see in this photo. I sharpened this photo and blackened out my hand holding the duckie at the bottom and also the corners at the top which the felt didn't completely cover. Increased the green of the grasshopper and lightened him up a bit. The saturation has been increase to get a better yellow and green overall. Thanks for looking and any constructive critique is appreciated!!!

Another top 20 image that did not gets its due. Sorry. It was an 8 in my book and had potential for a 10.

Colors and lighting look pretty good on this shot, though the light is a little bit harsh on the leaf in the foreground. I like that you included a grasshopper in this shot and the detail on it looks pretty good. The image seems a little bit oversharpened to me, or perhaps the contrast is slightly high.

Nice combination of natural and artificial, good arrangement, composition, perspective, sharpness and colors. I think that the crop is a bit too tight, as the large duck seems overly dominant. Just a thought, I like it.

Nice sharp colors. Grasshopper is really not needed in the shot and the top antenna distracts just a bit as it is over the duck's face. 8.

Very nice! you could have healed the scratches on the ducks beak. I gave it a 9.

Cute! I love how the ducky's eyes really look like he's watching the bug... whatever that bug is!
