I wonder if the logo wouldn't be better with the "esigns" running parallel to "ouse"...
I know you're looking for ideas on the card and not the logo, but my eye keeps being drawn to that lone, large, vertical text... which I think is one of the least important elements of the card.
Also, as others have stated, a little more obvious statement of what you're selling would be good... Maybe just above the web address a smallish point font with "maternity, baby, children's, and family portraiture" or whatever it is you do... |

The vertical kerning of the type on the left is very poor; noticeably irregular.
"Fine Art by Design" the "by" should not be capitalized, by convention.
Your "gutters" are irregular all around; that's not good. For example, the URL is closer to the bottom edge than the final "s" in "Designs", and your figure is closer to the right edge than the "Dowse" is to the left edge.
The sans-serif face is OK, in uninspiring, for the informational content but comes across really blah to me for the logo part.
The overall balance of mass is way heavy to the right, with a seriously unbalanced negative space that seems awkwardly shaped *and* proportioned to my eye.
I don't get any real sense of what you're selling; graphic design? Photography? Artificial insemination?
All in all, it seems a quiet mishmash to me :-(

It is very nice!
Would everybody realize this is about photography?
Don't forget to print one every so often to check what it looks like in real size. |

Love it...my eye starts at the woman and then straight over to the double D, then down the design text and across to Lee Dowse and then down to the site addy. That is what you want....isn't it? |
