I love how the shadow has the same texture as the dog.

post-challenge: you know, I love this photo, but it's not very high contrast. It looked high contrast on my monitor at home! blah!

post-post-challenge: let me clarify something here. This is NOT my wonderful poodlemutt Gracie. This is a stranger's pitch black poodle that I specifically took a picture of for high contrast.

secretly think the shadow is cool, makes me think of a Teddy Bear...
reminds me of when I took a Pet Portrait shot...my dog too is black...no matter what I do I can't succeed in really getting a shot of her that really captures everythig about her like I can with my kids...and that is what I see here, or rather don't see...the dog, but with even the contrast you have, I don't get to know her...ok when I have more time I am going to venture through some of your pet shots and learn from you, because I think with the one I looked at through the window, you were on to something...

crap I couldn't just stick to dull...

I find all the patterns a bit confusing and not fun to look at. It is quite graphic though if you like that sort of thing.
