i was on the way to pick up my dad at the airport, and of course, i always take the scenic route. i was driving along the 101 and stopped off at one of my favorite beaches and took some shots. i didnt shoot this one specifically for high contrast but i thought it worked pretty nicely. i considered flipping it 180* but changed my mind at the last minute.

Very good finish Shannon, this was a tough challenge, and B&W had it won hands down.(I went with color,273) the white area below the bridge is distracting, and could have been cropped, and made the shot stronger.

This has a feel almost of the Polaroid camera. I like it - a proper simplicity of composition. Almost Gursky-esque.

a slightly different perspective to remove most of the sky would have given you a more powerful composition. I like the rest of the photo, however. nicely done.
