Another picture from the Great Sand Dunes National Park near our home. It is the most photogenic place around here. I was actually trying to do the Soft Drink Advertisement Challenge (because it has so many fewer entries) by putting a can of Diet Pepsi in the sand and taking a picture of my husband crawling towards it like a man dying of thirst. It just didn't work out. First of all we couldn't figure out how to set the Pepsi somewhere without getting our footprints in the sand! It was also dreadfully windy and the sand was blowing so hard along the ground - it wouldn't have been very fun for my husband to crawl along the ground and get sand blasted at the same time.

Anyway, when I was sitting on a piece of driftwood taking a break (it's really tiring walking in the sand) I noticed this particular dune looked kind of like a Yin-Yang sign and then I got to thinking how Zen the dunes were and how this dune actually kind of illustrated the whole Yin/Yang thing. So, I took some pictures of it and here they are in the High Contrast Challenge.

Editing: Adjustment layers for Levels, Curves, Hue/Sat, Contrast & Selective Color; Flatten Image; Noise Removal with Helicon Noise Filter; Resize; Smart Sharpen; Save for Web.

Great use of light and dark. Was going to say "very yin yang" until I noticed that was your title.

nice title, but the black is too black ,you should of showed some detail. I guess the contrast here is way too high.
