 Went to watch my sister sing with a band at a club in Sydney - got in free by promising to take photos for them. Borrowed Dads 5D and a bag full of L lenses - and I'm in love with the 70-200 2.8 IS - even in a dark crowded room I managed to get some great shots. this is at 1600 without any noise reduction, I need to get myself a pro camera!

I gave this image a 10 during voting and I'm adding it to my favorites. I really love how the horn player is separated from the rest of the band just by the angle of his body. The way the light brings out the features on his face and the serene look of the closed eyes truly conveys that he is lost in the moment. Exceptional capture.

This is an excellent shot! Great job at 1600, too. Maybe you can steal the lens - he'll never notice, right?

I would have liked to have seen the horn player in the frame by himself. that would have been a killer shot, with that lighting!

Nice scene! To expand... i found the repetitive shapes and lines very pleasing and interesting.
