This hit me like a thunderbolt...didn't expect this at all. I've rarely ever seen a picture which both holds such a striking message and can make it clear within such a short moment in time. Great!

Ya know that is some good thinking! Great mind! I think you care and take the time to look at subject before you snap the picture! Even if its quick thinking before capturing. Go deep and look abstract finding things that might really not be there! You have great talent.

Thank you all very much for all the comments and the votes on my entry. I am an amateur and thanks to this site and the people on it, I am learning more everyday. This is a wonderful site and I am honored to have placed at all when there are so many wonderful photographers on this site. Everyone that comments on any photo helps the photographer in one way or another, whether it is an in depth comment on how to improve the photo or just a word of encouragement.
Again, thank you all very much.

LOL-- nice capture of Irony

Oooh, this is mean! :-)

As a suggestion, I think I would've had the sign in the top right (following the Rule of Thirds) instead of in the center of the pic. Nice (funny!) shot.

very clever, could be composed better

Great Scene; but composition maybe could have been a little more subtle .. or give it a more ironical the title, e.g. "Thanks for the hint." or "Deceased this way, please."

Nice find, nice shot. The graves make a nice compostion, and the granite texture contrasts nicely with the grass.

i like theme, think its very thought provoking. Great idea there! But in terms of composition i'll prefer the "dead end" sign to be place more to one side to create more interest. but again, "dead ends" are probably suited to less dynamism... is that part of ur intention too?? =) anyway great work!

Composition would have been better with the sign off center - to the right I think, would have lead the eye from the sign back to the graves. Otherwise, an OK shot.

I love this shot not only for the main irony but there is something in haveing a grave with the visible word of Costley on it. It's true. Death is both a dead end and costly.

it's amazing how signs really do fit in with the surroundings sometimes...

I think that's we can call that irony. Anyway it's well seen.

lol sickening yet strangely humorous at the same time

This would have been better if the sign were slightly left or right.

I've seen a photo like this before, but elsewhere for a 'signs' challenge. I thought it was lovely irony. this is a better photo than the previous one I saw.

All the light is coming off the background. Maybe a fill in flash could have helped the sign show up more. Great shot though. [8]

Good example of irony. The light is harsh (sun). Still I think this wa a good find and on target for this challenge.

Pretty morbid I guess, but a good find anyway, and definitely ironic. I personally wouldn't have centered the "Dead End" sign though.
