I was treated to this view on my way home from work. Luckily I had my camera with me! Unfortunately, I forgot to check the ISO ... 400. =( Oh well, a little noise reduction and an admittedly tight crop due to the noise of civilization.

PP: Crop, noise reduction, resize, sharpen, border

This is a nice photo. I'm sure that if you could show it much bigger it would have much more impact... but we live in the constraints of these little monitors.

Thanks for your comments all. I was a little bummed because I was above 6 for most of the week, and was hoping to stay there. Indeed, the crop is tight, but there wasn't much I could do. I wanted the whole scene horizontally, and - dirty civilization - there was an apartment complex just below the tree. =)

I'm just glad to have caught the image on my way home from work!

I really enjoy how you captured the light here. It is just magnificent, but the way you cropped it makes me think that you are hiding something on the lower part of the original picture. Maybe if that little tuft of the top of that tree weren't there I wouldn't think so. That aside this is one of my favorite pictures in this challenge.

suffers because of the panorama crop making the height small. Would be really great in a bigger size.

its a pity i couldn't see this a little larger. I like the composition(not sure about the tree) and your colors are nice to look at as well.
